Security Officer Information
The California state guard card/license is issued by the Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS). CALSAGA does not issue or regulate any pending guard cards. To send a message to the BSIS, visit their Contact Us page. Select Message the Bureau and then Applicant Questions.
Check the Status of a Guard Card or other License
If you would like to have proof of your training, please contact your training facility as they should be able to print/send your records for you. Or if you are a CALSAGA member using our CALSAGA Training Database, please login to check your training records and certificate (for assistance with login information or difficulties, please Request Database Assistance.)
*It is not the responsibility of CALSAGA staff to enter any security officer training certificate information, staff can only reproduce what is already entered into the system by the training entities. CALSAGA is not responsible for training information that has not been entered into the database.

Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
The BSIS is the state agency that regulates, licenses and enforces California’s private security industry. Governed by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) the BSIS has worked with CALSAGA over the years to increase professionalism and standardization throughout the industry. Many of CALSAGA’s successes are due largely in part to the close working relationship the organization enjoys with past bureau chiefs and current bureau Chief, Lynne Andres and her dedicated staff.
