Is the 2020 CALSAGA Annual Conference still happening?
YES! The conference is going to be held virtually on October 21 and 22, 2020 from the comfort of your own home or office.
All attendees will receive free conference-on-demand viewing for two weeks, enabling access to all our sessions at your leisure. If you would like to attend the session LIVE, you will have the opportunity to participate in Q and A Sessions with our speakers.
How do I access the conference?
The conference will be available on your computer or mobile device through the Whova app.
What is the cancellation policy?
Requests for attendee registration refunds or transfers must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event. Virtual booth space and sponsorship purchases are non-refundable.
What is the Participant Code of Conduct?
CALSAGA is committed to providing an atmosphere in which personal respect and intellectual growth are valued and the free expression and exchange of ideas are encouraged. Consistent with this commitment, it is the policy of CALSAGA that all participants enjoy a welcoming environment free from unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Will there be handouts or visuals provided by the speakers?
We will be uploading several speaker handouts on our Whova app. Please make sure to download the app prior to the conference. Keep checking for additions.
What will happen with the election for the 2021 – 2022 Board of Directors?
In addition to this being a presidential election year, it is election year for the 2021 – 2022 CALSAGA Board of Directors. Information about nomination period and process to vote electronically will be available soon. Remember that Private Patrol Operator, Proprietary Security Employer and Private Security Training Facility membership in the association permits one vote per company.
Will there be opportunities during the Virtual Annual Conference for sponsors and vendors? Will my sponsorship transfer over to the rescheduled conference?
Yes, we will have a virtual Exhibit Hall with opportunities for vendors to interact with attendees and offer demos, prizes, and answer questions.
All sponsors and vendors who have already paid for the in person CALSAGA Annual Conference will have the opportunity to transfer their sponsorship to the virtual format at a reduced rate.
How can I submit feedback following the event?
Your feedback on our conference speakers is critical to the success of our event each year, and we are making it easy for you to speak your mind! CALSAGA will be distributing a survey to all conference attendees following the live event. We would appreciate completion by the end of October.
Will the 2021 Conference be in person or remain virtual?
Our intention is to have the 2021 CALSAGA Annual Conference return to a physical event. Please save the date for the 2021 CALSAGA Annual Conference which will take place October 19th – 21st at the Agua Caliente Resort Rancho Mirage. We will monitor the situation closely and make a determination if the event is still possible to conduct in person closer to conference time.
